FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State men’s golf head coach Ekren Miller has announced the hiring of former Bison Nate Adams as an assistant coach on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Adams returns to NDSU, where he was a standout golfer from 2019-2024. During his time in Fargo, Adams was named to the All-Summit League first team in both his junior and senior seasons. In his victory at the GCU Invitational in 2023, he shot a career-low round of -7, tied for one stroke back of the program record.
Adams recorded three career victories and carded the second lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history with a mark of -13. He holds the program record for most career rounds in the 60s with 25 and ranks third all-time in career top-10 finishes with 17. Over his final two seasons in Fargo, Adams posted the second-lowest and third-lowest individual scoring seasons in program history, with averages of 71.57 and 71.89, respectively.
The Maple Grove, Minnesota native has also spent time playing on the Dakotas Tour. In 12 total events, Adams posted six top-10 finishes, including three top-fives. He returned to southern Minnesota as a golf professional, teaching as a part of the Three Rivers Park District.
The Bison open their fall season on Sept. 8-9, when they travel to Riverside, Iowa, to compete in the America Needs Farms Fall Classic.
