The 2025 Draft is finally upon us! A universal day of hope for every franchise but also a chance for some poor decisions to be made. 2025 shapes up as a class with a few blue chips elite prospects and different positions but also a weaker quarterback class than many of the classes before it. Former Bison Grey Zabel is almost assuredly going in the first round with so many teams in desperate need of help on the offensive line. Zabel would be the third Bison drafted in the first round (joining Carson Wentz & Trey Lance) and the first ever Bison offensive lineman to go in the draft’s opening round.
This is also the first time in the modern drat era (since 1967) where every team will enter the draft with their original first round draft pick. I don’t expect many more trade fireworks during the draft either unless a team is willing to send a godfather like package of picks to someone in the top 5 to get one of the premiere prospects in this draft. There could be a team or two that want to get aggressive for specific positions but I don’t foresee anything close to the 5 round 1 trades we saw last season or the 7 there were in 2023.
