A new face yet familiar face to North Dakota State women’s basketball fans will be joining the radio broadcasts this season. Former Bison standout and West Fargo native, Emily Dietz will be joining the radio broadcasts during home games for the 2024-25 season. Dietz will join voice of NDSU women’s basketball, Andy Rieckhoff as a color analyst.
Dietz played at NDSU for five seasons from 2017-22 and is the all-time leader in games played with 131, including a streak of 114 consecutive games to conclude her career. At the end of her playing career she ranked fifth on the NDSU all-time field goal percentage list shooting 51.2 percent and was only the ninth player in the NDSU Division I era to surpass 1,000 career points with 1,142.
Emily spent the previous two years as a graduate student manager on the NDSU staff. She helped Head Coach Jory Collins oversee two of the top three seasons in division 1 history in terms of wins, including a 22-12 record last season that resulted in the first postseason win in D1 history.
Majority of home and away games in the 2024-25 season for NDSU women’s basketball can be heard on BISON 1660AM & 92.7FM.
