FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota State football has received a commitment from one of the top players in Minnesota.
Offensive lineman Ryan Babatz of Buffalo High School (Minn.) announced his commitment to NDSU on Tuesday afternoon. He is ranked as the fifth best prospect in the state of Minnesota, per 247 sports.
The Bison scored Babatz over multiple FBS programs and regional rivals; the 3-star recruit chose NDSU over offers from Nebraska, South Dakota State, Wyoming, Army, and North Dakota.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Babatz is the third commit from the state of Minnesota in head coach Tim Polasek’s first recruiting class, joining 3-star offensive lineman Gavin Wang (Annandale, Minn.) and 2-star receiver Dylan Vokal (Maple Grove, Minn.). He’s also the third offensive lineman in the current six-man class, as Grafton, Wisc. native James Nellis committed to NDSU in early May.
