FARGO, N.D. — NDSU men’s basketball continues to stock players from the transfer portal.
The Bison had already scooped up four new players via transfer during this spring recruiting cycle and have now added a fifth. Former Shanley Deacon Patrick Bath announced his commitment to NDSU on Wednesday, transferring in from Drake University.
Bath, a 6-foot-9 forward who started his high school career at Shanely in Fargo back in 2020, finished his prep career at Totino-Grace in Minnesota where he was one of the top prospects in the state. He redshirted and did not play as a freshman at Drake this past season. The Bulldogs were one of the top mid-major programs in the country and won the Missouri Valley with a 28-7 overall record, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Bath has four years of eligibility remaining. He joins Brennan Watkins (VMI, 2 years of eligibility), Jacksen Moni (Northern State, 1 year of eligibility), Masen Miller (Indiana State, 1 year of eligibility), and Luke Kasubke (Illinois State, 1 year of eligibility) as new additions to the NDSU roster for the 2024-25 season.
